At our school, AVID is not a program—it’s how learning happens. Across all grade levels, content areas, and classrooms, we intentionally use AVID strategies to strengthen student thinking, engagement, and ownership of learning. That commitment is a major reason we are proud to be recognized as a Site of Distinction by AVID.

Over the past three years, our staff has engaged in a focused, schoolwide AVID Professional Learning (PL) plan designed to deepen instructional practice and, most importantly, improve outcomes for students. Each year built intentionally on the last, creating a coherent and sustainable instructional framework.

DoDEA Europe is proud to celebrate the Month of the Military Child (MoMC) across 64 schools in 8 countries, shining a spotlight on the strength, resilience, and courage of military-connected children. This month, our schools are hosting a wide range of events that include clap-ins, purple shirt days, interactive activities, performances by school bands, and more — all aimed at recognizing the vital role military children play in supporting their families and communities.

No mission to the red planet ever really goes as anticipated. Student engineers at the Middle School STEMposium event found this out the hard way. It was only through perseverance, collaboration, and ingenuity that they made it safely back to Earth after a series of calamitous events.
