September: Suicide Prevention Month

National Hispanic Heritage Month

Hello Bulldog Families and Students!

I hope you’re well and looking forward to the ‘BER’ months. We’ve had a great week at school with students showing enthusiasm and making excellent progress. This week we saw more friendships being formed and kind words shared -- makes us so proud to have your kiddos with us! As we work our way through September, I want to highlight the importance of suicide prevention & awareness. Your role in supporting your child is crucial. We encourage open communication and be mindful of any changes in your student(s)’ behavior. If you’re concerned, please reach out and we can put you in touch with our school counselor or mental health professionals.

We will host prevention and awareness sessions with each grade level, facilitated by our school psychologist and student services team, to support students with whatever concerns they might have regarding youth suicide.  We are here to support your child in anyways we can, as well as families. Please reach out if you need assistance or have questions: keela.stoneking@dodea.edu

We have attached separately an opt out form, if you would like your students to NOT attend next week’s assembly. These forms are due to the front office by Friday, Sept 13th.

Please reach out if you need assistance or have questions: keela.stoneking@dodea.edu

Thank you for your partnership in ensuring a safe and supportive environment for our students!
