German Exchange Program Suicide Prevention Month Continues

Hello Bulldog Families and Students!

We had the opportunity to partner with our host nation and facilitate a German exchange program for the day. Frau Schottler’s German class partnered one-on-one with a German student as they spent their day on base. We were able to show of parts of our base operations, flight line, K-9 Unit, Taco Bell (a German favorite), and finally ended the day at our Middle School, looking around at what a DODEA School looks and feels like.

Several students were asking Admin if there was a way that they could transfer and come to our school because they love how welcoming and exciting it was.

We also had our first round of suicide awareness conversations with our students. We continue to encourage open communication and be mindful of any changes in your student(s)’ behavior. If you’re concerned, please reach out and we can put you in touch with our school counselor or mental health professionals.

We have attached separately an opt out form, if you would like your students to NOT attend next week’s assembly. These forms are due to the front office by Friday, Sept 13th. Please reach out if you need assistance or have questions: keela.stoneking@dodea.edu

Thank you for your partnership in ensuring a safe and supportive environment for our students!
